Achilleas Demetriades specialises in Human Rights and has been, among other, advocating the creation of a Truth Commission for the Missing in Cyprus.
Since 1988, he has been practising as a lawyer at Lellos P Demetriades Law Office LLC, specializing in human rights and intellectual property. He successfully conducted the first individual application against Turkey before the European Court of Human Rights (Loizidou v Turkey – in relation to property) and the first individual application against Cyprus (Modinos v Cyprus – in relation to private life). He is a founding member of the NGO “Truth Now” and a former Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association. He was called to the English Bar and received a Master’s Degree in International Law from Georgetown University. He is also a European Patent Attorney and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
David, a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor, Accountant, and Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP), brings over 25 years of expertise in private client tax advice and trust work. He spent 12 years in the Channel Islands as a Client Services Director at the largest independent trust company and later as a Tax Director at a Big Four firm. David specializes in navigating complex UK tax legislation and advising on robust, tax-efficient structures, with particular insight into the Common Reporting Standard. Since 2015, he has been sharing his expertise as a sought-after speaker and advisor.
Marios Souroullas is a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in accounting and audit. An Associate Chartered Accountant since 2013, he studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Manchester. Marios began his career at KPMG Cyprus, progressing from Audit Junior to Assistant Audit Manager, before joining KPMG UK in London, where he gained international experience in the Private Equity Funds department.
In 2017, he played a key role in establishing KENDRIS Cyprus, including securing an "Administrative Service Provider" license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. As CFO of KENDRIS (Cyprus) Ltd, Marios leads the accounting team in Larnaca, specializing in client bookkeeping under International Financial Reporting Standards. He is a sought-after speaker in the fields of finance and corporate services.
